Wood

48 x 48in

As the striations of wood grain meld into the figure, there becomes this understanding that identity carries with itself a greater context of external pressure and internal confusion. “Who I am” becomes a question of “What I am?,” “Where am I?” and “What do others see?”

This piece is painted entirely out of different tints of wood stain.
